Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join a globally distributed team at the intersection of artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and digital finance. The role focuses on developing deep-learning models and AI infrastructure for brain-computer interface technologies, generative AI, and neural activity decoding.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train, and optimise scalable deep-learning models for brain decoding and AI-driven neuroscience applications.
• Collaborate with research scientists and cross-functional teams to advance generative modelling and representation-learning projects.
• Maintain and improve machine-learning pipelines, ensuring performance, scalability and reliability on distributed GPU environments.
• Contribute to research activities, including experimentation, hypothesis testing, documentation and conference participation.
• Uphold high standards of software engineering, automation, code quality and reproducibility.
• Identify technical bottlenecks and implement innovative solutions to enhance workflows, infrastructure and model performance.
• Support deployment and adaptation of AI models across diverse computing environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Neuroscience or Informatics.
• 3+ years of professional or research experience in machine learning, deep learning or AI engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python and hands‑on experience with PyTorch.
• Solid understanding of supervised, self‑supervised, semi‑supervised and generative deep-learning techniques.
• Proven ability to design experiments, evaluate models scientifically and draw data‑driven conclusions.
• Experience working with large or unstructured datasets and strong analytical problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in remote, cross‑functional settings.
