Legal Counsel – Contract Law

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel with strong contract law expertise to join a leading international group operating across more than 20 African countries. Reporting to the Deputy Legal Director, you will support the company’s legal operations and contribute to strategic international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate legal follow‑up for a portfolio of entities.
• Draft, review and negotiate various legal agreements, including partnership, licensing, distribution, intragroup, and non‑disclosure agreements.
• Develop and maintain contract templates.
• Conduct legal research, analysis and regulatory monitoring.
• Handle multi‑jurisdictional matters, especially across African markets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Law.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, including several years in a law firm.
• Strong expertise in contract law; corporate law knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent French and good command of English.
• High analytical, problem‑solving, rigor and confidentiality standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
