Lead Procurement Manager

About the role

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an experienced Lead Procurement Manager to shape and execute strategic sourcing for its Integrated Logistics business. You will work directly with global customers, transport providers and internal teams to deliver cost‑effective, resilient logistics solutions across multiple transport modes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer‑specific procurement strategies and long‑term sourcing roadmaps.
• Lead complex RFQs, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations and strategic projects across multimodal transport.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with transport providers while onboarding new logistics partners.
• Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities and commercial opportunities to support decision‑making.
• Drive procurement performance, coach Procurement Managers and champion continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure governance, contract compliance and adherence to internal quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics operations, procurement or strategic sourcing, including leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in transport procurement, supplier negotiations, RFQs, multimodal logistics and market intelligence.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally when required.
