Junior IT Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Level 1 (Junior) IT Systems Administrator to join our growing IT team. You will provide first‑line support to employees in Hosingen and abroad, building strong relationships through on‑site assistance and remote help.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain software and hardware applications, delivering Level 1 customer service across office and production areas.
• Monitor help‑desk tickets, research updates, test new software, and respond to security incidents.
• Own incidents and service requests transferred from other teams and create knowledge‑base articles.
• Support continuous improvement of ITSM processes and manage IT purchases and inventory.
• Provide user training, documentation, and remote support to regional managers, sales staff, and VIPs.
• Collaborate with internal IT colleagues and external providers on printers, telephony, security systems, etc.
• Participate in project support and after‑hours maintenance as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Service‑desk experience or a strong desire to start a career in IT.
• Highly organized, able to multitask in a fast‑growth environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French or German is a plus.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of IT hardware and software.
• Microsoft operating systems and Windows applications.
• Basic understanding of ticketing systems.
• Fundamental networking technologies, devices, and protocols.
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts (optional).
