Junior Data Engineer – Data Platform

About the role

Join John Deere Financial’s Data Product team in Luxembourg as a Junior Data Engineer. You will help consolidate data from source systems, build and operate data products on Databricks, and ensure that data is accurate, secure, and ready for BI and analytics consumption across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on migration of on‑premises data to the cloud‑hosted Enterprise Data Lake.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated data pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark) and cloud technologies.
• Implement data processing workflows in Databricks, including Unity Catalog management.
• Ensure datasets comply with data security and governance policies.
• Support teammates through pair‑programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with data engineering tools and technologies.
• Experience working with Databricks workflows, dashboards, and Unity Catalog.
• Background in ETL, data modeling, and data warehousing on large‑scale datasets.
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway.
