IT Auditor – Internal & Regulatory Audits

About the role

Our client, a prestigious institution in the financial regulation sector, is seeking an Internal IT Auditor to lead and support IT and information‑security audits across Luxembourg and at the European level. The role offers the chance to influence regulatory oversight and drive risk‑mitigation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internal audits of IT systems, applications and information‑security controls.
• Participate in European‑level audits linked to regulatory and oversight functions.
• Identify information‑system risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures.
• Conduct independent audits of IT projects and provide reasonable assurance on risk‑control effectiveness.
• Analyse audited processes, draft comprehensive audit reports and monitor implementation of recommendations.
• Provide IT support for the preparation and execution of audit missions.
• Optionally contribute to business audits in addition to IT‑focused engagements.

Required profile

• Master‑level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Economics (audit specialization advantageous).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an IT auditor (internal or consulting).
• CISA certification is a strong plus.
• Excellent knowledge of audit methodologies, IT best practices and information‑system risk management.
• Strong written communication, analytical thinking and ability to present findings at executive level.
• Fluent in French and English; German is an advantage.
