Integration & Test Engineer for UAV Systems

About the role

We are looking for an Integration & Test Engineer to lead verification, validation and integration of autonomous UAV platforms. The role covers bench‑level integration, HIL/SIL test‑bed development, flight trials and certification support, ensuring hardware, firmware, software and algorithms work together reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end system reliability by integrating and validating subsystems such as PX4/ArduPilot controllers, Jetson/RB5 computers, EO/IR sensors, IMU/GNSS, radios, power and payloads.
• Support prototype bring‑up for new PCBs and modular payloads, validate electrical/mechanical interfaces and troubleshoot CAN, UART, I2C, SPI and Ethernet communications.
• Develop and maintain test plans at unit, subsystem and system levels; automate execution and reporting with Python and LabVIEW; integrate with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins).
• Set up and operate HIL/SIL testbeds (Gazebo, PX4 SITL, MATLAB/Simulink), create scenario scripts, inject faults and link physical simulators.
• Plan and execute advanced flight trials, analyse telemetry, and drive issue resolution with cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate EMC/EMI and safety‑related testing (DO‑178C, SORA, STANAG) and produce verification evidence packs.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in fast‑paced, mission‑critical development cycles.
• Hands‑on experience with UAV hardware integration and test automation.
• Excellent collaboration with electronics, firmware, RF, mechanical and algorithm teams.
