Information Systems & Basis Application Support Technician

About the role

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) is seeking an Information Systems and Basis Application Support Technician to join its multicultural team. The role involves maintaining and supporting IT equipment and applications, ensuring smooth operation for both technical and non‑technical users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for IT hardware components and related applications.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment failures and performance issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement and maintain IT solutions.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain support logs.
• Assist in the setup, relocation, and de‑commissioning of heavy computer equipment.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years of post‑related experience (or equivalent secondary education with 5 years experience).
• Strong knowledge of IT equipment components and their interrelationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with self‑motivation.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Good health and physical capability to handle heavy computer hardware.

Required skills

• Understanding of IT hardware architecture and component interaction.
