Head of Technical Training

About the role

The Head of Technical Training will lead the Training department of LuxairAirlines, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery of all technical training for the Maintenance Organisation and CAMO.

Key responsibilities

• Take regulatory responsibility for training in line with EASA Part‑145, Part‑66, Part‑147, Part‑M and CAMO requirements.
• Maintain the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and CAMO Exposition (CAME) sections, including job descriptions, procedures and instructions.
• Coordinate with department heads to align training with operational needs and act as the primary contact for aviation authorities on licensing and training matters.
• Lead, motivate and develop the training team, ensuring adequate technical, organisational and personnel resources.
• Promote a strong safety, quality and compliance culture while managing costs and driving continuous improvement.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, initiate corrective actions and ensure high pedagogical standards.
• Oversee external training providers to secure cost‑effective solutions.
• Contribute to budgeting, monitor cost development and implement necessary actions.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, contracts and provide operational support in critical situations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in aeronautics, engineering or equivalent experience in aviation technical training.
• Accepted by national aviation authorities as a technical instructor.
• Proven experience designing training programmes, managing audits and coordinating apprenticeship schemes.
• Strong leadership, organisational and priority‑setting abilities in a demanding operational environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills for collaboration at all levels.
• Solid stakeholder‑management capabilities and the ability to work autonomously.
