Head of Lending Technology & Applications Division

About the role

The European Investment Bank is seeking a senior leader to head its Lending Technology & Applications Division in Luxembourg. You will steer the technology landscape that underpins the Bank’s core lending activities, ensuring secure, resilient and innovative digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technology strategy and roadmap for lending applications.
• Provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of bespoke Java/JavaScript apps, Microsoft technologies, Power Platform, packaged solutions and SaaS/cloud services.
• Assess and challenge major architecture, integration, data, security and cloud adoption decisions.
• Lead the transformation, modernisation and sustainable evolution of the lending application ecosystem.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align investments with strategic priorities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in IT, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong business partnership skills with the ability to influence strategic direction.
• Track record of delivering large‑scale digital transformation projects.
