Head of International Markets

About the role

As Head of International Markets for HSBC Private Bank Luxembourg, you will lead the development and execution of the bank’s international corridor strategy across Asia, the Middle East, the UK and the US. Reporting to the CEO Luxembourg, you will work closely with Business Heads and Relationship Managers to drive net new money, revenue growth and high‑quality client onboarding while safeguarding governance and risk standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the international corridor strategy for target regions.
• Own retention and growth of a Luxembourg‑based private banking portfolio sourced from international markets.
• Strengthen cross‑selling of investments, lending and deposits while reducing client attrition.
• Ensure booking governance, segment purity and robust KYC for corridor‑sourced relationships.
• Lead disciplined sales management, including opportunity qualification, pricing and performance tracking.
• Establish portfolio routines such as pipeline cadence, attrition watchlists and top‑client plans.
• Build structured engagement programmes to promote the bank’s platform and capabilities across booking centres.
• Deliver financial targets, forecasting and management information reporting.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in private banking relationship management and senior client‑facing roles.
• Proven track record in business development and risk management.
• Deep knowledge of market landscapes, peer product offerings and industry innovation.
• Experience working with clients and teams across Asia, MENA, the UK and the US.
• Demonstrated ability to shape market strategy, multi‑year business plans and capability design.
• Strong commercial execution skills, including pipeline management and pricing discipline.
• Effective partnership across products, operations, risk, compliance and multiple geographies.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
