Head of Group Depositary Bank Services

About the role

The Head of Group Depositary Bank Services leads the depositary function for Quintet Private Bank, ensuring strategic positioning, commercial support and regulatory integrity across Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The role focuses on UCITS and AIFMD‑regulated funds while also covering non‑regulated structures as client needs evolve.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior commercial and functional representative of the Depositary Bank, partnering with the Front Office on pre‑sales, onboarding and client discussions.
• Design, maintain and continuously improve the depositary control framework for safekeeping, cash‑flow monitoring and oversight of both liquid and illiquid assets.
• Ensure robust onboarding and ongoing oversight of alternative investments, applying appropriate ex‑ante and ex‑post controls.
• Maintain independence and conflict‑of‑interest safeguards while delivering value‑adding services to asset‑servicing and fund clients.
• Monitor regulatory developments (UCITS V, AIFMD, CSSF requirements) and adapt processes to meet evolving compliance standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in depositary banking, fund services or related asset‑servicing functions.
• Deep knowledge of UCITS, AIFMD and Luxembourg/Netherlands regulatory frameworks.
• Proven commercial leadership with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong governance, risk‑management and escalation discipline.
• Experience managing both liquid and illiquid asset classes such as private equity, real estate, infrastructure and private debt.
