Head of Custody Product Management Europe

About the role

State Street is seeking an experienced leader to head its Custody Product Management function across Europe. Reporting to the Global Head of Custody Product, you will own the strategy, P&L and commercial performance of both Global and Direct Custody products for the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the vision and product strategy for European custody solutions.
• Manage the P&L, partnering with sales and client teams to grow revenue and profit.
• Oversee product commercials, cost structures and operational efficiencies.
• Lead annual investment decisions and prioritize product development initiatives.
• Identify improvement opportunities in core products and explore new business models that shorten the custody chain.
• Represent State Street in industry groups to influence market direction.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, compliance and technology functions on commercial matters.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with deep expertise in direct and global custody and broader asset‑servicing products.
• Proven track record working with large, complex institutional clients and building strong partnerships.
• Strong understanding of operational processes across global custody.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage and mentor teams.
• Experience in a product organization within financial services, preferably in custody, banking or asset management.
