Head of Advanced Robotics

About the role

Talent Quanta is seeking a Head of Advanced Robotics to lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent robotic systems. This senior, hands‑on position will serve as the technical authority for robotics, guiding the evolution of our R3 Robotics portfolio from research to production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead innovation across the R3 Robotics applications, from prototyping to full‑scale production.
• Own the robotics software architecture, focusing on ROS and ROS2 frameworks.
• Design, implement, and evolve intelligent control systems and ROS/ROS2 software stacks.
• Write detailed product and system specifications and define software design strategy.
• Collaborate with leadership, R&D, product, and manufacturing to shape long‑term automation roadmaps.
• Mentor robotics engineers, conduct design reviews, and ensure best technical solutions.
• Manage technical relationships with external consultants and technology partners.

Required profile

• Master’s or higher degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hands‑on robotics development experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Proven track record with ROS/ROS2, task and path planning for complex robots, and digital‑twin simulations.
• Experience with closed‑loop control, perception/vision integration, and industrial robot programming (ABB, KUKA, FANUC).
• Strong system architecture and software industrialisation background.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
