GNC Engineer – Advanced Space PAT Systems

About the role

We are partnering with a space technology company developing next‑generation laser communication systems that provide high‑speed data transfer between space and ground. The GNC Engineer will lead the design, development and validation of advanced pointing, acquisition and tracking (PAT) systems for upcoming space missions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and validate control algorithms for pointing, acquisition and tracking.
• Perform system modelling, identification and laboratory characterization of hardware and software components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary hardware and software teams to integrate GNC solutions.
• Write and review technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Professional experience in Guidance, Navigation & Control engineering.
• Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Space Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with lab‑based system identification and real‑system characterization.
• Track record of working on space projects across design, testing and validation phases.
• Experience with embedded systems or real‑time control environments.
