Full-Stack Developer (Java & Angular) – Luxembourg

About the role

Fortil is seeking a Full‑Stack Developer with strong Java and Angular expertise to join its technical team in Luxembourg. You will work on demanding client projects, delivering robust, scalable solutions while collaborating closely with product and client teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional and technical requirements together with clients and product teams.
• Design and develop backend applications using Java (Spring, Spring Boot) and Scala.
• Integrate REST APIs, relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases, and third‑party systems.
• Apply best‑practice architectures, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability and security standards.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor teammates and share best practices.
• Produce technical documentation, specifications, architecture documents and deployment guides.
• Provide production support and drive continuous improvement of solutions and processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 3‑7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+, Spring frameworks, REST API design, OAuth2/JWT security and micro‑service/hexagonal architectures.
• Proficiency in front‑end development with Angular.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), automated testing and quality tools such as SonarQube.
• Hands‑on with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Excellent communication in French and English, with strong customer‑service orientation.
