Front End Developer – React & SharePoint Online (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Front End Developer to join a prestigious European institution in Luxembourg. The role focuses on modernising the organisation's corporate intranet by migrating content to Microsoft 365 and building responsive, accessible user interfaces on SharePoint Online.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain custom front‑end components using React, including SPFx‑based solutions.
• Translate UX/UI designs into high‑quality, performant code that complies with accessibility and responsive design standards.
• Integrate components with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 services and existing intranet functionality.
• Support testing, validation, bug fixing and optimisation across development, test and acceptance environments.
• Produce technical documentation, hand‑over materials and knowledge‑transfer artefacts.
• Collaborate with client technical teams and external service providers in an iterative, sprint‑based delivery model.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, UX/UI Design, Human‑Computer Interaction or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional front‑end development experience.
• Proven track record delivering React‑based applications and custom SharePoint Online components.
• Strong understanding of coding standards, security requirements and accessibility principles.
