Finance Manager – Accounting & Sustainability Reporting

About the role

Amazon is seeking a proactive Finance Manager to join its Accounting team in Luxembourg. The role focuses on financial reporting, statutory compliance, and emerging sustainability reporting requirements across Europe. You will work independently and cross‑functionally, leveraging advanced finance systems, automation and AI‑driven tools to deliver high‑impact insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements under local GAAPs.
• Produce deliverables for internal and external financial and sustainability reporting, including analytic commentary and supplementary analysis.
• Transform accounting data into actionable insights that drive innovation.
• Identify, develop, and implement scalable process improvements using automation and AI‑powered tools.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on European sustainability disclosure requirements (e.g., CSRD, ISSB) and guide accounting teams.
• Monitor regulatory developments in sustainability reporting and share knowledge across Amazon accounting teams.
• Collaborate globally with Sustainability, Accounting, Finance, Legal and Technology teams.
• Lead large‑scale, fast‑moving projects in an international, high‑growth environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
• Substantial experience in end‑to‑end financial reporting, statutory filings, internal controls and audits.
• Understanding of current sustainability regulatory developments in Europe and internationally (e.g., CSRD, ISSB).
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
