Executive Director – Conducting Officer (Compliance & AML)

About the role

This senior position offers a unique opportunity to lead compliance and AML activities for the largest management company in Luxembourg. You will work closely with senior business leaders and regulators, shaping the compliance framework for a dynamic asset‑management business.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Conducting Officer responsible for Compliance & AML for the Luxembourg management company and its alternative investment fund manager (JPMAME).
• Collaborate with the AM EMEA Head of CCOR and the board‑appointed Compliance Officer to set and implement strategic priorities.
• Manage relationships with the CSSF, CBI and other regulators, handling inspections, visits and information requests.
• Design, implement and oversee the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk program, including monitoring, testing, policies, risk assessments and training.
• Provide advice to the AM business, CEO and other Conducting Officers, escalating critical matters to senior management.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to committees and legal entity boards.
• Maintain the JPMAME Compliance Policy & Charter and related frameworks.
• Review staffing, AI, technology and data strategies, ensuring HR practices such as performance management and hiring are followed.
• Coordinate with regional and overseas CCOR teams to identify and cover risk.
• Stay up‑to‑date with regulations including UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, AML/CTF, GDPR, DORA and SFDR.

Required profile

• Experience as a CSSF‑approved Compliance Officer or Conducting Officer.
• At least 10 years of experience in the financial services sector.
• Professional qualification in Compliance & Risk Management, Law or Finance.
• Strategic thinker able to set priorities and act independently.
• Excellent people‑management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage workload effectively.
• Strong technical and data analysis skills.
