Electrical Engineer – Satellite Ground Segment

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design and maintain electro‑mechanical sub‑systems for our satellite ground segment and testing equipment. You will create electrical concepts, develop installations, and ensure safety compliance while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document electrical installations and controller solutions for new and existing products.
• Create detailed electrical schematics and drawings, using tools such as EPLAN P8.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks of electro‑mechanical machinery, applying standards like the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
• Start‑up and commission in‑house designed machinery and commercial components.
• Present technical concepts to customers, gather feedback, and troubleshoot solutions.
• Work with suppliers to select components and manage obsolescence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• Understanding of electrical and electro‑mechanical installations, power electronics, and motor‑driven devices.
• Experience performing safety analyses with tools such as Safexpert or Sistema.
• Ability to work in an English‑speaking technical environment; additional languages (German, French, Luxembourgish) are a plus.
• Strong team spirit and adaptability to work with diverse stakeholders.
