Director of Rooms Operations

About the role

We are seeking a strategic leader to head the Rooms department of our luxury property in Luxembourg. The Director of Rooms Operations will shape the department’s vision, drive revenue, and ensure the highest standards of guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Rooms team, communicating clear goals aligned with the brand’s service vision.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that support profitability and brand standards.
• Monitor room rates, specials, and promotions, and adjust tactics to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Analyse service issues, audit expenses, and implement cost‑control measures.
• Review financial statements and budget performance, coaching managers to meet wage and expense targets.
• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by reviewing feedback and driving corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless product and service delivery.

Required profile

• Either a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field plus at least 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales/marketing or management operations.
• Or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree in the same disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multi‑disciplinary hotel operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience reviewing budgets, financial reports and performance metrics.
