Director – Head of Issuance

About the role

The Director – Head of Issuance will lead Clearstream’s global issuance function, driving digital transformation and data‑driven operations across multiple locations. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure the issuance platform remains at the forefront of the securities services industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams in Luxembourg, Eschborn/Frankfurt and the Prague Delivery Hub, including oversight and Centre of Competence functions.
• Drive the transformation of issuance operations, moving teams from routine business‑as‑usual to a fully automated, data‑centric model supporting the Digital CSD.
• Own governance and performance oversight of the Prague Delivery Hub, ensuring KPIs, quality standards and outsourcing accountability are met.
• Maintain overall accountability for day‑to‑day issuance activities across the Central‑Eastern European region (Issuer CSD, Investor CSD and co‑issuance).
• Represent issuance in senior management forums and ensure full regulatory and compliance adherence.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in post‑trade services, custody or financial market infrastructure.
• Proven people‑management and networking capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Clearstream’s issuance and data processes.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational plans.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and integrated thinking skills.
• Capacity to work under high pressure with a “can‑do” mindset.
• Fluent in English; French and German are an asset.
