Director, Continuous Improvement and Industry 4.0

About the role

Avery Dennison is looking for a Director of Continuous Improvement and Industry 4.0 to lead its central Enterprise Lean System (ELS) function at the Rodange facility in Luxembourg. This regional executive role bridges foundational Lean Six Sigma methodologies with Industry 4.0 technologies such as AI, predictive analytics and cognitive automation, and covers regional standardization, capability building and digital supply chain transformation across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the regional guardian of operational and supply chain standards, governing work standards (5S, Standard Work Audits, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, OEE tracking) and data science and AI models
• Build regional capability through a centralized training engine, certification pathways for Yellow, Green and Black Belts, and Train-the-Trainer programmes
• Lead yearly strategic deployment and the annual operating plan, aligning Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and IT
• Drive the move to AI-driven operations, including IoT integration, a regional control tower dashboard and digital twin solutions
• Capture best practices from local sites and turn them into a regional playbook
• Mentor and coach a central team focused on high performance and career development

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement functions regionally or globally
• Proven track record implementing Industry 4.0 solutions such as IoT, predictive maintenance, AI or digital twins in manufacturing
• Ability to design, document and scale operational systems and standards
• Experience with Hoshin Kanri / strategic deployment and stakeholder engagement
• Enjoyment of building capability, running training academies and mentoring future leaders

Salary range: 116,340 to 186,144 EUR per year.
