Digital Workplace Support Officer

About the role

The Digital Workplace Support Officer is the first point of contact for internal users, handling IT‑related requests through the Jira ticketing system. This fixed‑term position (up to 9 months) supports a multinational energy‑market platform and reports to the IT Administration and Support Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, filter, prioritize and resolve incoming tickets, aiming to close simple tasks within 30 minutes.
• Troubleshoot and prepare detailed tickets for escalation to 2nd‑level support or external vendors.
• Communicate ticket status, progress and estimated resolution times to users.
• Monitor alerts, take corrective actions and document incidents and solutions.
• Provide hardware support, install and configure devices for end‑users.
• Train users on business applications and general IT best practices.
• Collaborate with other IT groups and vendors to resolve complex issues.

Required profile

• Degree in IT (minimum two years post‑A‑level).
• At least two years of experience in an IT‑related support role.
• Fluent English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience working in an international, multicultural environment.
• Service‑oriented mindset focused on user satisfaction.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency with Jira ticketing system.
• Competence in Microsoft Office tools.
• Hands‑on experience in hardware support and user device configuration.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
