Digital Factory Engineering Manager – Assistant Director

About the role

EY is looking for an Assistant Director to lead data engineering teams within its Digital Factory. You will shape architecture, set technology standards, and contribute hands‑on to complex data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Azure services.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and coach engineers across multiple squads on data engineering best practices, pipeline design and delivery quality.
• Ensure all data solutions follow Digital Factory architecture principles, guardrails and platform guidelines.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for data modeling, CI/CD, DataOps and reusable components.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines, optimize performance and cost, and troubleshoot critical technical issues.
• Coordinate across project, architecture and business teams to promote reuse and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience leading software engineering teams as an Engineering Manager, Senior Tech Lead or similar role.
• Strong background delivering production‑grade data platforms and solutions.
