DevOps Engineer with strong Kafka experience

About the role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer specialized in Kafka to design, deploy, and manage real‑time data streaming solutions on Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud. You will work in a fast‑paced telecom environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and deploy Kafka clusters for high‑volume streaming across multiple environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Repos, Git, Pipelines).
• Create automation scripts in Bash (Python a plus) and manage infrastructure with Ansible.
• Perform Linux system administration and support AWS & Azure cloud deployments.
• Implement, configure and troubleshoot Kafka messaging and streaming solutions.
• Produce architecture diagrams and documentation for deployments.
• Monitor platform health with tools such as Splunk and ensure reliability, scalability and security.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve delivery processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Kafka in large‑scale production environments.
• Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, Bash scripting, and Linux administration.
• Practical knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, AWS and Azure cloud services.
• Ability to create clear architecture and deployment diagrams.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Nexus, Jira, Splunk.
• Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and security best practices.
