Data Quality Expert – Data Management & Governance

About the role

As a member of the newly created Data Management & Governance team, you will lead the roll‑out of Deutsche Börse’s data governance programme across several business segments. You will become the main point of contact for a dedicated workstream, guiding businesses through transformation and ongoing maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop the data quality framework, policies, standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with business units, IT and other functions to conduct data quality assessments and prototype KPIs.
• Support the definition of enterprise‑wide data quality monitoring solutions and ensure consistency across data domains.
• Work with stakeholders to implement monitoring tools, operationalise solutions and transition them to business‑as‑usual.
• Facilitate resolution of data quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Report progress to senior management and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Assist with impact assessments and queries related to data governance.

Required profile

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in quantitative roles focused on data governance, data quality or data analytics.
• Strong understanding of data‑quality dimensions and enterprise‑wide data‑quality steering.
• Good knowledge of financial markets and post‑trade processes (advantageous).
• Solid background in statistics and econometric methods.
• Excellent written and spoken English; German or French is a plus.
