COTS Software Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced COTS Software Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end selection, acquisition, and implementation of commercial off‑the‑shelf solutions in a large enterprise environment. The role blends strong IT project management with deep knowledge of software architecture, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle COTS software projects, from business case development to delivery.
• Gather and structure functional, technical, legal, security, accessibility, compliance, and procurement requirements.
• Conduct global market research, evaluate vendors, coordinate demos, prototypes, and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Perform feasibility, resource, and cost analyses and produce governance documentation.
• Manage vendor communications, commercial negotiations, and ongoing relationships.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, procurement, legal, security, testing, and enterprise architecture teams.
• Apply appropriate delivery approaches (waterfall, agile, iterative, or hybrid) and manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies.
• Organise and lead meetings with senior stakeholders and produce clear progress reports and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of IT project management experience.
• Active PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
• Proven track record delivering COTS selection, acquisition, or implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software, IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and integration.
