Client Onboarding & AML/KYC Specialist (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Client Onboarding & AML/KYC Specialist to join a Tier‑1 global bank in Luxembourg on a one‑year temporary contract. The role focuses on accurate data translation, account lifecycle management and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Open, close and update client accounts, ensuring system accuracy.
• Verify that all KYC and AML requirements are satisfied before account activation.
• Review the Account Opening Checklist to guarantee 100 % regulatory compliance.
• Perform risk checks on closing accounts for pending activity or balances.
• Analyze and reconcile incoming and outgoing data sets, mapping them to the bank’s platforms.
• Conduct pre‑transition testing and quality reviews, escalating discrepancies.
• Monitor daily conversion workflow, coordinating data transfers and third‑party interactions.
• Support project documentation, timelines and stakeholder communication.
• Provide regular progress updates and flag potential delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (advanced/graduate degree preferred).
• Experience in a client‑facing or project‑based environment is an advantage.
• Applicable local/regional licences required for Luxembourg banking.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to data‑heavy tasks.
