Bash Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This remote, hourly contract position focuses on leading quality assurance for Bash/shell scripting AI training data. You will ensure that generated scripts are correct, safe, portable, and aligned with project guidelines, directly contributing to the improvement of large‑language models.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Bash code and trainer outputs against detailed rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback on script correctness, security, error handling, and readability.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding, maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, and calibration tasks.
• Activate and monitor contributors to ensure consistent performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Systems Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Strong command of English for clear technical feedback.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Bash/shell scripting, Linux/Unix systems, automation, DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, reviewers, or QA engineers is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Bash/shell scripting fundamentals (variables, quoting, loops, functions, exit codes, signals, file permissions, POSIX portability).
• Linux/Unix command‑line tools: grep, awk, sed, find, xargs, curl, jq, cron, SSH.
• Version control and containerization: Git, Docker.
• CI/CD pipeline concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, GitHub, and project‑management systems.
