Senior Security Engineer

About the role

Mangopay is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to strengthen its technical security capability and support Engineering and Platform teams in designing, building and operating secure services. Reporting to the CISO, this hands‑on role bridges security and engineering to ensure secure delivery at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering and Platform teams to provide practical security guidance on applications, APIs, infrastructure and major technical changes.
• Perform risk‑based security reviews, assess vulnerabilities and CVEs, and support remediation and validation of fixes.
• Own and operate the security engineering toolset, design and implement cloud and network security controls, and automate repetitive security activities.
• Work with the SOC to translate findings into actionable remediation and contribute to audit and regulatory assurance activities.

Required profile

• Strong experience in security engineering, cloud security (preferably AWS) and application/API security.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability management and integrating security controls into development workflows.
• Ability to review technical architectures, identify risks and recommend proportionate controls.
• Effective communication with software and platform engineers.
