Automation Technician – Night Shift

About the role

Join a leading food‑production company as an Automation Technician working the night shift. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer‑controlled equipment that keeps the plant running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor automated systems and HMI interfaces from 6 pm to 6 am.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and scheduled repairs on plant equipment.
• Install and test new electrical circuits and conduit, complying with local codes.
• Document work orders, maintenance activities, and any food‑safety concerns.
• Provide technical assistance to operators and production staff.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of electronics, mechanics, and computer‑based control systems.
• Ability to work independently during night hours and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to support continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• HMI system operation.
• Electrical circuit troubleshooting and conduit installation.
• Instrument calibration using tools such as Fluke multimeters.
• Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS.
