Associate Corporate Counsel

About the role

Syniverse is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to provide basic legal analysis and advice across a broad range of commercial contract matters. Reporting to a senior managing attorney, you will support various functional departments and help ensure the accuracy and compliance of the company’s agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and respond to internal commercial contract requests, including new contracts, amendments, and other documents.
• Negotiate basic to moderately complex terms with customers or vendors, escalating to senior counsel when needed.
• Identify legal issues, coordinate with departments such as Sales, Product Management, Finance, and manage attorney support.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales and other personnel on contract and business issues.
• Ensure accuracy of commercial contracts, amendments, and renewals within the assigned scope.
• Assist in drafting legal responses to customer RFPs and prepare correspondence, contract files, and internal memoranda.
• Handle ad‑hoc contract‑related assignments from Legal management.

Required profile

• Law degree (preferably a Master’s) with at least 2 years of commercial transactional law practice.
• Ability to read, interpret, draft, modify, and negotiate legal documents.
• Strong business judgment, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to balance legal liability with commercial interests and facilitate basic business deals.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑starter who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
