Analytics Engineer

About the role

Coinbase is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join the Compliance Data team. You will design, build, and maintain production‑grade data models and pipelines that power regulatory reporting, analytics, and AI workflows across retail and institutional products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate data models and pipelines for user, transaction, and compliance data in the Compliance Data Mart.
• Implement data quality checks, contracts, validation logic, and monitoring to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with upstream engineering teams to resolve data gaps and incorporate product changes.
• Support live regulatory exams, audits, and ad‑hoc regulator requests with accurate, timely data.
• Automate manual workflows into scalable pipelines and self‑serve tooling for downstream teams and AI agents.
• Participate in on‑call duties, triage pipeline incidents, and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining production data pipelines and models.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance reactive regulatory work and long‑term foundational projects.
• Proactive ownership of data issues across the stack.
