AI Innovation Trainee

About the role

BDO Luxembourg is seeking an AI Innovation Trainee to join its multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on developing and testing GPT‑based solutions that improve efficiency across departments such as Payroll and Operations. This is a short‑term, hands‑on opportunity for students or recent graduates eager to apply generative AI in a professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation and testing of ChatGPT‑powered tools for internal use.
• Identify repetitive tasks and propose AI‑driven automation opportunities.
• Create, test and refine prompts for ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Claude and similar models.
• Collaborate with department stakeholders to translate business needs into concrete AI use cases.
• Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and innovation trends.
• Monitor performance of AI solutions, gather user feedback and suggest improvements.
• Promote responsible and secure use of AI within the organisation.

Required profile

• Current Bachelor’s or Master’s student or recent graduate in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Business & Technology, Digital Innovation or a related field.
• Strong interest in generative AI and emerging technologies.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English; French or German is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini or Claude.
• Basic knowledge of prompt engineering.
• Understanding of AI concepts and automation workflows.
