AI Engineer – Remote (International)

About the role

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join a high-performance engineering team focused on building and scaling large-language-model (LLM) powered systems. The role is fully remote and supports a Luxembourg-based partner, working at the intersection of machine learning, distributed systems and advertising technology.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain LLM-driven components for internal tools and user-facing applications.
• Build data pipelines for retrieval, embeddings, conversational interfaces and intelligent automation workflows.
• Experiment with emerging AI models, frameworks and architectures, evaluating their fit for production.
• Improve and optimise the underlying data infrastructure to ensure scalable, low-latency LLM usage.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and product stakeholders to identify high-impact AI use cases.
• Support production-grade systems handling high throughput and large-scale data volumes.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming experience with data manipulation libraries (NumPy, Pandas).
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with LLM inference, embeddings, vector databases or ranking models.
• Experience with distributed or containerised environments (e.g., Kubernetes is a plus).
• Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently.
• Proactive attitude, ownership and initiative.
