Accounting Manager – German Speaker, Home Office

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager who is fluent in German to join a leading fiduciary firm in Luxembourg. The role is fully remote and combines team leadership with direct client interaction, supporting a portfolio of investment funds, SOPARFIs, holding companies, and special purpose vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison for German‑speaking clients, ensuring high‑quality service and long‑term relationships.
• Lead, coach, and coordinate a team of around five accounting professionals, including remote staff.
• Oversee the preparation and review of annual financial statements, from trial balance to statutory closing.
• Supervise corporate income tax and VAT filings, collaborating with tax experts when needed.
• Manage accounting supervision for a diversified portfolio of SPVs, holdings, SOPARFIs, and private‑equity/real‑estate structures.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of accounting experience in Luxembourg, preferably within a fiduciary, PFS, or Big Four environment.
• Fluent in German and proficient in either French or English.
• Proven experience in managing or supervising a small accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of SPV structures and investment vehicles, including funds.

Required skills

• Accounting supervision and financial statement preparation.
• Corporate income tax and VAT filing processes.
• Understanding of Luxembourg fiduciary regulations.
