Accounting Assistant Manager – Real Estate (Luxembourg)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Accounting Assistant Manager to join our Luxembourg Corporate Team, focusing on real‑estate SPV accounting and reporting. The role combines technical accounting duties with team leadership across Luxembourg and a virtual team in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting for corporate SPVs, holding companies, property companies and joint ventures.
• Review and post journal entries, including month‑end and year‑end closing entries.
• Prepare and review periodic reporting, annual accounts and consolidated financial statements under IFRS or Luxembourg GAAP.
• Oversee statutory filings, bank reconciliations and cash‑flow management for administered structures.
• Provide accounting support to tax workstreams and liaise with auditors, tax consultants and third‑party service providers.
• Convert trial‑balance data between Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.
• Coach and develop junior staff, organise team workload, track deliverables and participate in billing and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, finance or accounting.
• 4‑7 years of experience in an accounting department with exposure to real‑estate structures.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and practical experience with IFRS.
• Solid analytical and financial accounting skills.
• Understanding of Luxembourg income tax and VAT principles.
• Ability to build lasting client relationships and manage both local and virtual teams.
