Accountant (Soparfi) – Luxembourg GAAP

About the role

Fundamentals S.A. is seeking an Accountant Soparfi to manage a portfolio of companies and support a wide range of financial services. You will work under the supervision of the team manager, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete accounting records, cashbook entries, expenses and payroll for assigned companies.
• Post month‑end and year‑end transactions and prepare annual accounts in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP.
• Prepare tax returns, periodic and annual VAT returns, and regulatory BCL reports.
• Analyse legal documents such as sales, purchase and loan agreements.
• Handle inquiries from auditors, clients and tax authorities and resolve internal accounting issues.
• Collaborate with various clients, report on their needs and support junior accountants.
• Participate in projects to improve accounting processes and stay updated on regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting, Audit or Finance.
• 2‑3 years of professional experience in a fiduciary environment.
• Familiarity with Luxembourg GAAP.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Proactive, initiative‑driven and able to prioritise workload effectively.
