Accountant – Permanent (CDI) in Leudelange, Luxembourg

About the role

Cogent Communications is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Luxembourg office. The role focuses on maintaining the books for several international subsidiaries, primarily in the Asia‑Pacific and LATAM regions, and supporting various administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting transactions for international operations.
• Prepare accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations, ensuring the general ledger is up‑to‑date.
• File and reconcile corporate taxes, VAT, withholding, and GST returns.
• Book invoices, follow up on payments, and perform supplier control reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Liaise with internal teams and external accounting firms to align local books with group reporting.
• Handle audit requests and ensure statutory accounts are filed on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong initiative, service‑mindset, and ability to work independently.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Authorized to work in Luxembourg.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Navision.
