Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join our team in Luxembourg. You will work in a diverse, challenging environment that balances a human-sized company feel with the excellence of the Goldman Sachs group. The role offers a mix of financial reporting, tax provision calculations, and cross‑border coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain records of financial transactions.
• Prepare interim and annual accounts.
• Produce monthly and quarterly reports and communicate results to relevant parties.
• Perform GAAP reconciliation across US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and IFRS.
• Calculate tax provisions and review tax returns.
• Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, joint‑venture partners, asset managers, and property managers.
• Coordinate with internal and international departments of Goldman Sachs.
• Respond to administrative and accounting queries.
• Prepare distribution memorandums and ensure administrative compliance and filing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of Luxembourg accounting or financial control experience, preferably with exposure to private equity, real estate, or private debt investments.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Team‑player with a hands‑on mentality and the ability to work independently.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and adaptable to change.
• Good organizational skills and accuracy.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced spreadsheet skills).
