Accountant – Finance Team (Luxembourg)

About the role

Viking is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance team at the Belval headquarters in Luxembourg. Working closely with colleagues in Luxembourg and Germany, you will support the accounting operations for the company’s EMEA entities.

Key responsibilities

• Book and process supplier invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain cash‑flow data.
• Validate and record staff expenses according to internal policy.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet account reconciliations and support month‑end closing.
• Prepare VAT returns, EC Sales Lists (VIES) and Intrastat declarations for multiple EU jurisdictions.
• Assist with ad‑hoc accounting requests as needed.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in French and good English.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 2‑4 years of experience in an accounting department of an industrial or commercial company.
• Accurate, methodical and well‑organized work style.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
