Upper School English Language B Teacher Internship (12 months)

About the role

Join a vibrant international school as an Upper School English Language B Teacher Intern for a 12‑month placement. You will work alongside experienced IB educators, supporting multilingual students in developing confidence and fluency in English.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) focusing on English language acquisition.
• Create engaging, inquiry‑driven lessons that encourage students to communicate confidently in English.
• Help students develop intercultural understanding, critical and creative thinking skills.
• Collaborate with mentor teachers to design learning experiences that foster independent, reflective learners.
• Gain hands‑on classroom experience and develop practical language teaching and facilitation skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, English, linguistics, applied languages or a related field, completed within the last 12 months.
• Enthusiasm for working with adolescents in diverse, multicultural settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Reflective, collaborative, and eager to learn.
• Interest in language acquisition and international education.
• Experience tutoring or supporting multilingual learners is an asset.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages highly valued.
