Structural Analysis Engineer

About the role

Clearspace is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer to support the mechanical design, analysis, testing and validation of its spacecraft. You will work across the full lifecycle of space structures, from conceptual design to test campaigns, and help shape new technologies for sustainable space operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support all phases of a space structure lifecycle, including conceptual design, sizing analysis, hardware production and structural testing.
• Identify and procure materials, processes and facilities required for qualified spacecraft structures and components.
• Perform first‑order sizing calculations and evaluate satellite structure concepts.
• Conduct mechanical design trade studies balancing performance, risk, schedule and cost.
• Define, execute and analyse test campaigns, producing technical reports and documentation.
• Manage mechanical work packages, maintain schedules, budgets and interface with customers, partners and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a structural engineer on space systems.
• BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering/science discipline.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience with proposal writing for future business is a plus.
