Specialist Tax Reporting – Germany

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist in Tax Reporting for Germany to join the tax department of an international bank in Zurich. The role bridges fund management, investors and external advisers, ensuring optimal after‑tax returns and compliance with German tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface for tax controlling and reporting on fund investments.
• Act as the tax liaison between fund managers, investors and external advisers.
• Prepare, review and deliver tax‑related key figures in line with the German Investment Tax Act.
• Compile and audit tax reports, calculating data such as capital participation ratios and partial exemptions.
• Support fund structuring and due‑diligence reviews with tax advice.
• Answer tax‑related queries from investors and assist internal teams with day‑to‑day matters.
• Coordinate external tax advisers and auditors, overseeing the annual German tax compliance process.
• Monitor compliance with international regulations including CRS and AEOI.
• Participate in ad‑hoc tax projects as required.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Tax Law or Finance.
• Professional experience at a Big Four firm or a tax consultancy.
• Familiarity with German tax reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to translate complex legislation into accounting logic.
• Excellent multitasking, coordination and proactive work approach.
• Fluent in German and English.
