Sensor Operator

About the role

CAE Aviation is looking for Sensor Operators to conduct airborne surveillance missions for a range of government agencies and industry partners. The role involves working in international locations, often away from home on a rotational basis, and requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate ISR sensor suites during flight missions.
• Monitor, record, and analyse surveillance data in real time.
• Ensure proper functioning of all onboard equipment and sensors.
• Follow mission protocols and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with flight crew and ground analysts to interpret findings.
• Maintain situational awareness and report observations promptly.

Required profile

• Flexibility to work away from home on a rotational schedule.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset.
• Interest in IT equipment.

Required skills

• Broad experience with ISR systems.
