Datacenter Security Operations Manager

About the role

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team is looking for a Datacenter Security Operations Manager to lead physical security programs across its global datacenter portfolio. You will safeguard personnel, infrastructure, data and confidential information that power Microsoft’s cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee physical security operations at assigned datacenters and related facilities.
• Collaborate with vendor security guard forces to ensure they have the resources and information needed to meet Microsoft’s security standards.
• Anticipate site‑specific security disruptions and life‑safety risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead risk‑analysis discussions, produce root‑cause analysis reports and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement and enforce physical security policies and procedures in alignment with global security programs.

Required profile

• Must be located in the applicable region and able to work onsite at an agreed‑upon datacenter.
• Proven experience managing physical security operations in large‑scale facilities.
• Strong ability to coordinate with external security vendors and internal teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to leadership.
