Senior Software Developer, Backend

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer, Backend to join our team in Luxembourg. In this role you will help the development organisation deliver reliable, efficient and safe value to customers while owning a part of the production application environment and developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain tools, libraries, automation services and production code using Java.
• Design, build and evolve our infrastructure platform, adding new features and refactoring existing ones.
• Research, evaluate and integrate new technologies into the platform.
• Operate and support developer experience and production environments, including on‑call rotation.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain distributed systems, perform upgrades, migrations and monitoring.
• Provide reusable interfaces, best‑practice guidance and documentation for the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong background in Java and object‑oriented programming.
• Proven ability to deliver stable, performant and maintainable code.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, schema design, data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
