Senior Associate – Actuarial & Risk Modelling Services

About the role

PwC Luxembourg is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Actuarial and Risk Modelling Services (ARMS) team. You will work on complex reserving, pricing, and capital projects for insurers across Luxembourg and Europe, as well as on multidisciplinary transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide actuarial consulting services, including reserving analysis and valuation aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support Solvency II reviews, balance‑sheet preparation, QRTs and ORSAs for insurers.
• Assist with insurance‑regulation projects such as Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS 17 reporting, transfer pricing and POG/VFM.
• Collaborate with audit teams to deliver actuarial support for Luxembourg‑based insurers and reinsurers.
• Support Corporate Finance, M&A and Strategy teams on business transactions, portfolio transfers, actuarial due‑diligence and reserve certifications.
• Contribute to the growth of PwC’s actuarial practice and supervise junior staff.

Required profile

• University degree in actuarial science, mathematics or quantitative finance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an actuary.
• Strong knowledge of life and/or non‑life actuarial practices under Solvency II, and familiarity with Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS 17 and related regulatory frameworks.
• Fluent English; French is an advantage.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to coach junior colleagues.
