Senior Accountant

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing industrial technology company, is looking for a fully qualified Senior Accountant to own the financial and operational reporting for its corporate entities. Working closely with a fractional CFO and senior leadership, you will ensure accurate bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and insightful financial analysis across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the general ledger, day‑to‑day bookkeeping, and monthly/quarterly close processes for several group entities.
• Prepare statutory annual accounts and financial statements in line with local GAAP and IFRS where applicable.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and accounting partners to facilitate smooth annual audits.
• Lead grant‑funding documentation, including expenditure reporting and results presentation.
• Prepare and file Luxembourg VAT returns and corporate income tax declarations.
• Ensure compliance with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register (RCS) and eCDF filing obligations.
• Liaise with tax authorities, banks, and legal counsel on entity‑specific matters.
• Act as the primary financial business partner to senior management, explaining performance and budget variances.
• Support the drafting of board minutes, shareholder resolutions, and related corporate documentation.
• Identify process inefficiencies and help implement improved accounting tools and workflows.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA).
• 2–4 years of professional experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm or a high‑quality corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP, tax/VAT regulations, and corporate law, with willingness to learn other jurisdictions.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Proactive, hands‑on mindset with a genuine interest in taking ownership of in‑house finance functions.
• Valid Luxembourg work permit.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
